PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Color coated coil is a product made from hot-dip galvanized steel, hot-dip aluminum-zinc steel, electro-galvanized steel, etc. as the substrate. After surface pre-treatment (chemical degreasing and chemical conversion treatment), one or several layers of organic coatings are applied on the surface, followed by baking and curing. It is named after the color steel coil with various colors of organic coatings.

COLOR COATED COIL SUBSTRATE CLASSIFICATION

1. Hot-dip galvanized substrate: The product obtained by coating organic coatings on hot-dip galvanized steel plate is called hot-dip galvanized color coated plate. In addition to the protective effect of zinc, the organic coating on the surface of hot-dip galvanized color coated plate also provides insulation protection and prevents rusting, resulting in a longer lifespan compared to hot-dip galvanized plates. The zinc content of hot-dip galvanized substrate is generally 180g/m2 (double-sided), with the highest zinc coating amount for exterior use being 275g/m2.

1. Hot-dip aluminum-zinc substrate: Using hot-dip aluminum-zinc steel plate (55% Al-Zn) as the new coating substrate, usually with an aluminum-zinc content of 150g/m2 (double-sided). The corrosion resistance of hot-dip aluminum-zinc plate is 2-5 times that of hot-dip galvanized plate. It does not oxidize severely or produce oxide scale when used continuously or intermittently at temperatures as high as 490°C. Its ability to reflect heat and light is twice that of hot-dip galvanized steel plate, with a reflectance greater than 0.75, making it an ideal energy-saving building material.

2. Electro-galvanized substrate: The product obtained by coating organic coatings on electro-galvanized steel plate and baking it is called electro-galvanized color coated plate. Due to the thin zinc layer of electro-galvanized plate, usually with a zinc content of 20/20g/m2, this product is not suitable for outdoor use in walls, roofs, etc. However, due to its beautiful appearance and excellent processing performance, it is mainly used in household appliances, audio equipment, steel furniture, interior decoration, etc.
