PPGI, short for Pre-Painted Galvanized, refers to steel products such as PPGI Coils (color-coated galvanized coils) and PPGI Sheets (color-coated galvanized sheets).
These products are created by applying a colored coating to galvanized coils using advanced technology. The vibrant and visually appealing finish not only enhances their aesthetic appeal but also expands their range of applications.
Galvanized Coil forms the base material for PPGI. It is produced by immersing thin steel sheets into a molten zinc bath, creating a protective zinc layer on the surface. This process, known as continuous galvanizing, ensures consistent quality.
In some cases, galvanized steel undergoes further processing to produce alloyed galvanized steel. By heating the galvanized sheet to approximately 500℃, an alloy film of zinc and iron forms, offering enhanced paint adhesion and weldability.

1. Resistance to Acid Rain

This leads to acidic penetration on the surface of pre-painted steel, accelerating corrosion and causing issues like blistering and peeling. 3. Resistance to Humid Heat
Protective Mechanism: In hot and humid climates, high water vapor pressure accelerates coating penetration, leading to film degradation and substrate corrosion, often visible as bubbling or peeling. The robust coating withstands these conditions, protecting the substrate effectively.
4. Resistance to Low Temperatures
Protective Mechanism: Standard paints may become brittle and crack in alpine regions where temperatures drop to -20°C to -40°C, compromising their protective function. The specialized coating maintains flexibility and adhesion even in extreme cold, ensuring reliable protection in harsh conditions.
