Product Description

During this method strain, hard austenitic steel is partially transformed into martensitic steel.
Due to residual ductility, serious cold deformation can still happen.
When the cold rolls, grade 301 gets heavily magnetic.

304 Stainless Steel Coil Processing
Raw material preparation: First, prepare the stainless steel raw materials, usually by melting and casting to make stainless steel billets.
Hot rolling: The stainless steel billet is heated to an appropriate temperature, and then rolled through a hot rolling mill to press the billet into a thinner coil.
Pickling: The surface of the stainless steel coil after hot rolling may have oxides and other impurities, and pickling treatment is required to remove the surface oxide layer and impurities.
Cold rolling: The stainless steel coil after pickling treatment is then cold rolled by a cold rolling mill to further reduce the thickness and improve the surface quality.
Annealing: The stainless steel coil after cold rolling needs to be annealed to eliminate stress and improve the plasticity and toughness of the material.
Surface treatment: The stainless steel coil after annealing can be surface treated, such as polishing, galvanizing, spraying, etc., to improve the appearance and corrosion resistance.
Cutting and coiling: Finally, the stainless steel coil is cut and coiled according to customer requirements to make stainless steel coil products that meet the specifications.
